Scope

Digital archive + two exhibits

01 / The Challenge

Make room for the story.

Two expansive historical narratives needed an online home. The design had to make archival material engaging and detailed content approachable, while giving visitors a clear path through each exhibit on desktop and mobile.

My contributions · I designed the exhibit landing page, page layouts, image treatments, and responsive versions, collaborating with the web development and content team to bring the experience to life.

02 / The Entry Point

A clear choice of where to begin.

A clear choice of where to begin.

I designed the archive landing page to introduce the two exhibits as related experiences with distinct subjects. The first view needs to orient visitors and make both stories inviting.

04 / Layouts and image treatments

Two stories.
One framework.

I designed exhibit layouts and image treatments that give archival material a strong presence while making room for context, chapters, and individual collection items. The exhibits team shaped the historical content; web development built the experience with me.

05 / Across Screens

The same story,
at every size.

I designed responsive versions so visitors could follow the exhibits and inspect imagery on smaller screens.

06 / OUTCOME

The collection,
open to more people.

The Museum launched two free digital exhibits within its online archive. The design provides a shared framework for distinct histories, extending access to the collection beyond an on-site visit.
